Let’s Get Artsy:
Brooklyn Community
Art Project

The importance of children being able to have a safe space to learn and develop their artistic skills cannot be overstated.

According to a report published by the National Endowment for the Arts, allowing your children to participate in artistic activities at an early age can lead to improved social skills like sharing and cooperation, reduced shyness and anxiety, and reduced aggressive behavior. In other words, “Children who do arts regularly are better able to control their emotions and express them in productive ways.”

Of course, the relevance of art goes beyond statistics and reports — the joy of watching one’s child engage in the creative process is rewarding in its own right!

We created the Let’s Get Artsy program to help facilitate those joyous moments and cultivate the creativity of children in Brooklyn communities.
