Roxanne George- Vigne

Roxanne George- Vigne currently works in law enforcement with over 12 years of service. She is the Founder and CEO of Vessel of Valor. Vessel of Valor (VOV) was founded in February 2012 when Roxanne felt empathy toward the homeless and initiated a coat and soup drive. However, the course of Vessel Valor quickly changed, spiraling into a group of women working together to educate, empower and help women and young girls to step out of the box that society, people and situations have placed them in and find their voices. She is a motivational speaker that has hosted a series of Girls Talk entitled “A Woman’s Journey Behind the Mask”. Additionally, she mentors young girls ages 10-14 from the Lower East Side who have been affected by domestic violence. As a result of the bond she developed with the girls she started a Prom Dress Giveaway that will celebrate its 5-year anniversary this coming May. Her mantra is “Your circumstance does not define you. Your circumstances once recognized can propel you to greatness”.
